Fall Colors around the Bay Area

Fall is my favorite time of year. Why? The amazing colors you can find in nature can't be beat by any indoor studio shoot. My wife and I went on our baby moon the week of thanksgiving up in Yountville. We usually go up there December after Christmas but decided to come early since she's due early January. To my surprise, I didn't realize how beautiful that part of the Bay area is! The reds, yellows, orange, and greens were hard to ignore. As a photographer, I felt like a kid in an candy store. Surrounded by so many colors, I didn't know where to start. Here is a sample of some of my personal photos taken up in the Napa/Yountville area. Other shots were taken in the South Bay with my son. Enjoy!

Trent and Hailey at Stanford

Father and Daughter portrait session. When Trent asked me to do a photoshoot for him and his daughter Hailey at Stanford, I felt the need to do something a little different from my normal shoot there. We went around the other non-traditional places and took some photos there. My goal was to make it feel like it was not shot at Stanford at all. Though there were some dead giveaways as seen on some of the backgrounds. Enjoy!

Senior Photoshoot with Nicole

Senior photo session with Nicole. Her mom and I went to San Jose to capture some shots for her senior graduation photos. The original date was cloudy with a chance of rain. I decided to reschedule it since I had envisioned the afternoon sun setting at the horizon. A week later, the weather was great and the sky was clear. The afternoon sun rays gave a nice golden glow to my shots. This reminds me of a country album cover with the location we chose. Hope you like it.
